Bohol Escapade

Wednesday, November 4, 2009 ·

When the Scholars' Camp ended, I thought that would be it - that the rest of my sembreak will be all boring stuff. But then I was wrong. It was on the 26th of October, 2009 when my mother permitted me to go to Bohol with my friends. I never expected her to allow me. So off we go on the 27th. There were nine of us - Jehwin Paden, Rahima Hamis, Joshua Verano, Nino Ricaplaza, Ramer Duhino, Jackielyn Jane Maylon, Maria Cristina Debuayan and Christian Carl Velasco. I can't put to words what i've felt during my stay there. But I learned to appreciate a lot of things.

It was a four-hour travel from Cebu. It was a lot of fun in the pumpboat, and we stayed on the front part of it. We stayed in the peaceful island of Bilang-Bilangan, an island barangay of the Municipality of Bien Unido. It is a very cute island with a population of about two thousand(2,000). It is said that the original inhabitants there are the Padens and the dela Torre's. So it is safe to say, I guess, that my friend (Jehwin dela Torre Paden) owns the island. Hehehehe. The people there are very hospitable. Time really is running slow during our stay there. Electricity is only available from six in the evening up to eleven in the evening. Everything we ate is seafoods. Yum yum yum. Sea Urchins, Seashells, Huge Squids, Fishes, name it - it's all seafoods.

We head back to Cebu on the 29th. It is an experience of a lifetime. And now i can say that it is my best sembreak ever.
